Brockmire – TV Series

I would give it an 8.5/10, not because I liked it that much but because it is simply really well made.

It is a comic show, but I did not find myself laughing, although baseball fans will love the anecdotes, and it is enjoyable to watch.

Hank Azaria has done a good job, his acting, accent, dialogue delivery, everything is so believable. He is an extremely talented actor.

Amanda Peet is a surprise here, but watch this show for her. She is delightful, gorgeous, charming and what makes this show good to watch. She owns the screen and in future episodes I am sure will make the show.

Tyrel Jackson Williams is a talented youngster in this show, he is funny, sometimes overacts but an upcoming comic talent.

You do not get excited while watching it but you do not get bored either. This show’s concept is different, and it does surprise you with its script. The cast is amazing. The show surely holds promise, its well written, greatly acted and I am sure appeals to a lot of people.

Summer…

Summer brings with it yearnings of lazy afternoons at the pool, soaking the sun with a chilled screwdriver and a witty book.
Summer brought with it the nostalgia of a childhood gone by, of summers spent at my uncle’s house with a dozen cousins running around. Summers where we visited relatives and guests graced our house,
Summers filled with mangoes and sherbets, books and ice creams,
sunny days with nothing to do but make memories.

Summers that were spent playing carrom and antaksharis,
That were spent riding in cycle rickshaws, giggling at passer-bys,
summers spent in libraries and museums,
summers spent running behind the kulfi wala and binge drinking coca cola.
Summers spent watching movies all afternoon,
Playing football and cricket in the scorching sun.
Summer is a time to relive our childhood memories, summer is a time to make new ones,
Summers, are they not always happy for everyone?

Love at First bark – hallmark movie

My score is a 2/10.

The movie progresses real slow. From the beginning itself, it does not pique my interest. I feel the movie has no real story, a new dog owner falling for the dog trainer, boring old concept. With an interesting script, it could have been entertaining but it was not.

Jana Kramer and Kevin Mcgarry star in this movie. They have both played their characters well but have no chemistry. Their interactions have no sass or fun or entertainment even.

Its quite a boring movie. Hallmark movies off late have been losing their touch. Up until a couple of years ago, the quality of hallmark movies was much better, they were worth watching and now they are just what you would play in the background while you are busy with something else.

Naam Shabana – Movie

I would give it a 7/10.

I really liked the movie except for the songs and some parts after the intermission. The story progresses well but is slow after the intermission until the climax. It keeps us involved mostly during the missions. The dialogues and portrayal seem very honest, it feels extremely real, its a well-crafted a movie. The background score brings back memories of Baby. The action scenes are well executed.

Tapsee Pannu has acted very well. She maintained a poker face throughout, she was emotional when necessary and badass during others. She really is a good actress.
The rest of the supporting cast has done an amazing job.
Neeraj Pandey has directed and written it really well. He makes good movies. His dialogues are on point, sassy, funny, thrilling, everything.
Manoj Bajpayee has played his character well, albeit his character is creepy.
Akshay kumar is a delight to watch. He truly is awesome.
anupam kher was totally cheered, and we wished he had more screen time.
I hope there is a sequel to Baby with this team.

The first song is nice to hear , refreshing but then they kept the songs coming, they were unnecessary and took the focus away from an action suspense movie. A lot of drama around the agency seemed shady. The movie is somewhat slow after the intermission but picks it up again during the climax. It is basically, literally all about how agent shabana came into being. The vision is clear and well presented.

Its a nice prequel, Baby lovers will surely enjoy it, but not something you love and watch again n again.

Unfiltered – Book

I absolutely loved Unfiltered: NO shame, no regrets, Just me, by Lily Collins.Every sentence was inspiring, sent it to a friend to read as well. I am so recommending this book for every girl out there.

The realness of this book hits you in the first chapter itself. Her insecurities, her ups and downs are inspiring cz she realized the wrongs and rights and moved on. her words are motivating.
she really has shared her troubles making us realize a gorgeous actress like herself suffers through a lot of things commoners go through as well.
her book is truly a gift to us girls.
“The world is made up of all kinds of people and I’m not always going to get along with everyone. As long as I know that I have the choice in how I interact with them and to what degree I allow them to affect me, they can’t dampen my spirit or turn off my light.”
It makes you stand up and notice the injustices happening around you, who deserves your love, who doesnt, how you are being treated, it makes you respect yourself a little it more.

“Healing is an ongoing process, and I will be working through my disorders for the rest of my life. But I know now that there is a greater happiness to be attained in this world: the happiness of enjoying myself to the fullest during the one life I have and accepting myself for who I am while I’m living it.”

i think i have saved basically every sentence in this book. Its like a self help book but better. You can relate to everything. I loved her writing, Lily Collins is so much more than just an actress. Its the first time an actress I feel has come forward sharing her struggles and such personal matters.

“Forgiving myself is just as important as forgiving others.”

“It starts with me. In order to accept the love I deserve from someone else, I must truly believe that I am worthy of it. And I am. And I’ll never let anyone tell me differently.”

Imaginary Mary – TV Series

I can easily give this show an 8.5/10.

Its hilarious. The show is super fun to watch. I do not think there are many cartoon-infused real life comedy shows on Tv, and this one gets it just right, with a woman who struggles with kids and her childhood imaginary fluffy friend coming out to help her when she has to interact with three.

The Animation is really well done. Mary is so cute and fluffy. I would love a soft toy that is her. Mary is very well created. Her eyes are adorable. The writers have put in good jokes, the show even in 20 mins totally leaves you grinning.

Jenna Elfman and Stephen Schneider ‘s chemistry is cute. Rachel Dratch has done a great job with the voice over.Jenna is really cool, has acted well and totally kills her part. Stephen owns his character, is cute, charming and adorable.Nicholas Coombe is funny.

I really liked the Pilot, lets see the future episodes the show brings.

Murder she baked just desserts-hallmark movie

I would give it a 5.5/10.

we dive into the mystery from the get go.The background music is good.It starts as an interesting movie, building up and keeping us guessing but then it becomes like the usual hallmark murder mysteries and bam we have the killer and this one did not touch me emotionally at all.

I lost all interest when the murder investigation started. The cat’s name was weird.

Phillauri – Movie

My rating – 8.5/10.

A good movie after so long.I really liked the concept of the film, its different and hilarious. Its a funny movie. The music and background score is good, not cringeworthy at all. Sahiba is a really good song. The poems esp the Mohabbat one leaves the theater with you.

Anshai Lal has directed the movie really well. Suraj Sharma plays Kanan, he is the only thing bad about this movie. He cannot act, his acting and performance are annoying.

Mehreen pirzada plays anu. She is pretty.Suraj and mehreen have no chemistry.

Anushka Sharma plays shashi. She shines through this movie just like her ghost.her performance is great, and she looks gorgeous, innocent and dignified. Diljit Dosanjh plays Phillauri.Diljit is handsome and acts wow.His and Anushka’s scenes are dreamy, their chemistry sizzling.Manav Vij’s performance is commendable as the brother. The supporting cast of biji, parents, friends holds well.

The execution of the movie could have been better.Their story is conveyed, some scenes, we understand what they are trying to portray but not every scene is enjoyable unless it has anushka or diljit. The casting should have been better, suraj sharma is what makes me dislike this movie.

It is fun to watch a past and present reality together. Everything has been conveyed well.It is a beautiful movie, totally worth watching. The new comers do not leave an impression but anushka and diljit are amazing. Anushka’s production house truly makes good worthwhile movies.

Bokeh- Film

A 5.5/10.

Iceland is depicted beautifully in this film. The concept is different. You can basically visit Iceland via this movie. The movie is realistic in some ways and boring in others.

Maika Monroe is pretty and realistic.Matt O’Leary plays his part well. The actors I wish were more dynamic, the movie might have had some life in it then. The film is well executed according to their script I believe. The locations are beautiful and shot amazingly. The background music is so beautiful. The actors have chemistry and act well together. The directors  Geoffrey Orthwein and Andrew Sullivan have written as well as directed it.This being their first movie as directors, they have done a good enough job.

Human race comes to an end in this movie, but it is nothing like other successful apocalyptic movies. It is slow, beautiful but slow and without any answers.sometimes the background score is too loud, and the focus is on the music instead of the dialogues. The film just is not entertaining enough to watch, visually its gorgeous but when it comes to your brain, it shall pretty much snore.

“Bokeh,” means the photographic term for blurry parts of a picture produced by variable lens focus.
